There is an urgent need to reduce CO2 emissions on this planet. Since the construction sector contributes a lot to emissionsof these molecules, biobased construction could help to reduce emissions.

To make this a reliable material that can be used on the construction site, it must be made reliable and predictable to prevent accidents.

In structural components, an uneven or heterogeneous internal structure can lead to an uneven
distribution of stress, leading to a higher probability of failure.

This project was focussed on increasing the homogeneity of insulation panels made from Ganoderma lucidum.

I focussed mainly on controlling the air and humidity control in the growing molds, as well as quantifying the homogeneity.
